設計：妹島和世
1956年生。日本女子大学大学院家政学部住居学科修了。1987年妹島和世建築設計事務所設立。1995年西沢立衛と共にSANAAを設立。代表作に〈金沢21世紀美術館〉、ニューヨークの〈ニュー・ミュージアム〉、〈ルーヴル・ランス〉、〈すみだ北斎美術館〉（妹島事務所として）、最新作〈大阪芸術大学アートサイエンス学科棟〉（妹島事務所として）など。2010年、第12回ヴェネチア・ビエンナーレ国際建築展にて、日本人、そして女性として初めて総合ディレクターを務める。プリツカー賞、ヴェネチア・ビエンナーレ国際建築展金獅子賞、日本建築学会賞、紫綬褒章(個人として)、他受賞多数。※上記の建築作品、受賞は特記のない限りSANAA名義。

Kazuyo Sejima / Suimei
Born in 1956. She got her masterʼs degree from Japan Womenʼs University. She established Kazuyo Sejima& Associates in 1987 and SANAA with Ryue Nishijima in 1995. She often uses acrylic and metal materials and makes space and people connecting loosely. Their representative works are 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, The New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York, Le Louvre-Lens, The Sumida Hokusai Museum (as Kazuyo Sejima & Associates) and her latest work Department of Art Science at Osaka University of Arts (as Kazuyo Sejima & Associates). In 2010, she was appointed director of architecture sector for the Venice Biennale as the first Japanese and female director. SANAA got many prizes including the AIJ Prize, the Golden Lion for the most remarkable work at the 12th Venice Biennale in 2004, the Pritzker Prize in 2010, and Sejima got Medal with Purple Ribbon in 2016.
