Omicron variant cases have been confirmed in Tokyo.
The Omicron variant is said to be highly infectious.
With this in mind, we must stay vigilant.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is taking proactive steps, such as introducing its own PCR testing system to detect variants and investigate cases at an even earlier stage. And, we will continue to do all possible to prevent the spread of infection.

Tokyo is also asking the national government to continue implementing strict measures at ports of entry and to further enhance the effectiveness of such measures.

The end of the year and new year are just ahead. This season presents more opportunities for travel, dining, and participating in events.
If you don’t feel well, please refrain from going out.
Please continue to wash your hands, properly wear a mask, and avoid the “three Cs.”
And, make sure to frequently air out rooms, even during the cold winter months.

Basic infection measures are also effective against the Omicron variant.
If you have not been vaccinated, please consider getting vaccinated.
